Help sustain the Camp Voyageur mission

Now more than ever, kids need summer camp. Camp Voyageur has long provided an unplugged, authentic camp experience—an experience we believe is essential for boys in their key formative years. The lessons boys learn at Camp—the perseverance, teamwork, and leadership they develop—prepare them for success in all walks of life. Camp Voyageur alumni have gone on to become teachers, astronauts, business leaders, clergy, medical professionals, and more, thanks in part to the foundation laid during their summers in the wilderness.

The Voyageur Foundation, Inc., established in 2007 by a group of dedicated Camp Voyageur alumni, plays a critical role in sustaining Camp’s excellence and addressing the unique challenges of operating seasonally in a remote location. As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, the Foundation provides financial support in several key areas, including scholarships for campers, counselor incentives, and funding for capital improvements. Through these efforts, the Foundation ensures that Camp Voyageur continues to thrive and maintain its high standards for future generations.

Unplugged sounds like nirvana

Supporting tradition and experiential education

“The public thinks of camping as only recreation, amusement park entertainment punctuated by fast food. The wilderness experience is forgotten. Camping is the development of skills which makes one a better person, with more appreciation for nature and fellow man. The ‘whole person’ is the ideal of a good camping program.”

— Charlie Erdmann
